Sure, you can buy a Maybach 57S Cruiserio Coupe for a million dollars (€675,000) but why bother when you can have the real thing for just $7 million (€4,721,200) more?

According to recent reports, the Birdman (aka rapper Bryan Williams) plopped down a hefty wad of cash to purchase a Maybach Exelero coupe. We weren't aware any were for sale, but the original show car was handed over to German tire company Fulda Reifenwerke and we haven't heard much about it since then.

As we have previously reported, the Exelero features a 6.0-liter biturbo V12 engine that produces 691 hp (515 kW / 700 PS) and 1,020 Nm (752 lb-ft) of torque. It enables the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds and hit a top speed of 218 mph (351 km/h).

more info on this car : http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maybach_Exelero some might say the price is too high , but it takes in account all the R&D needed to develop a one of a kind car.

Really scratchy996??? 8 Million Dollars for just a 6.0 V12 Biturbo ICE technology which has been around for almost a century now. For that amount of money, they should be able to give us a Matter-Anti Matter Combustion Chamber with a Warp factor of 10.0. With Holodecks as standard features of course.

For $8M, I would expect a slightly less cheap-looking interior! This grey/red interior & trim looks like it came from some $30k GM car!!

they wanted the interior to look like a racecar. it even has bucket seats and racing harnesses. it's a car made for tire testing , it weighs 2660kg/5864 lb.

Yes, the "stock" interior isn't so spectacular but him being him - he'll most likely have it revised if he doesn't fancy it. More money yes, but apparently he can afford it.
