Hey, Grandpa, your handbrake's on! [video]
Man driving his VW Polo on the street with rear wheels locked and burning rubber
We believe the rule is that you can make fun of older drivers until you become one yourself. Then you are permitted to resent the jokes. We will try to be kind here.
Here's a video of an older gentleman obliviously driving his VW Polo, apparently with the handbrake on. Either that or something else is locking the rear wheels.
The driver makes several stops, perhaps noticing that something is wrong. But he continues on with still dragging the back wheels.
He's gonna need a change of tires sooner than he thinks.

Some people should simply have their licenses taken away. Old people can cause so many crashes, one did on my road just yesterday because she got the gears mixed up and reversed through my neighbour's garden wall!
Im surprised how fast it built up speed with the handbrake on though lol

these people don't have too much alternatives. you can't take their driving licenses from their hand. young people are making more damages than old people, if someone has to loose his license, other people come first. I never saw any old person driving too fast, driving too crazy etc... but if you prefer, say your son to take your license when you are 60 or whatever.

Disagree, old people cause much more damage than younger fast drivers.
As soon as an elderly person displays the fact that they are not fit to drive (eg. the above video, or the old people that drive the wrong way up motorways) they should be stopped. If they NEED to get around (like to pick up medicine) they should get the bus or a taxi. If not they should be in a nursing home.

To set a rule of age is wrong. As simple as it sounds - repetitive tests, including a psychological one. Every two or three years. Age not concerned. If you fail at age of 25 - sorry, try to get your license back a year or two later, if you wish. If you don't fail at 80 - feel as free to drive as you only wish!
It is not the age what is a problem.

@kryst_PL. your comment makes sense & has loads of merit.
@Ashley People like you must get over this ageist phobia you have, whilst one is still capable & able to perform any task required they should be allowed to do so.

yes the oldster are getting a bad rap. Funny it would amaze you to see how many foriegners, come to my rental store and try to exit, with their parking brakes on. They say its not there fault as they have never driven an automatic.
