@H3LUX Have you driven an Escalade before? They really aren't nice enough to justify the price. I'd take a Sequoia Platinum over that North American hunk a junk anyday.

What a waste of money... Americans, they think only in a straight line... 1000 hp on a suv that can't take bends... i think it's a lame extension of a [insert the name of the freak] Manhood...

I don't think they actually want us to compare it to a Nissan GT-R (which is obviously better as a performance car), they just want to give us some idea of how fast it is by using a well-known benchmark.

This race is pathetic. Obviously the Escalade is going to win in a straight line with double the horsepower. Put both cars on a race track, then we will see who is boss.

This only encourages the many idiots who already drive the stock version of these mini-rv's like they're sports cars. And why is it that a growing majority of suv drivers feel the need to race stop light to stop light even when the light ahead, in plain view, is red? Same goes for the bumper humpers who actually think they can pull on my bimmer. Complete idiots! Here's hoping gas goes to $5 a gallon and soon.

You can tell this race has made some of the GTR nerds mad, I agree the GTR is a much better car in the bends, but this is quite impressive if you factor the weight and the ride height. RobERob are you mad at the world?

Mad at the world? No, just the daily commute. Still, I guess it doesn't take much to impress some. The only way this dinosaur would have impressed me is if they were to some how minus it's high center of gravity, aero dynamic drag, hideuos design, over weight frame by a few 1000 lbs, and put a McLaren badge on the back. But then, that would be totally defeating it's purpose, right?

RobeRob I am not impressed with Escalades in general, However I think its impressive they could make something so heavy and aerodynamicaly challenged beat a GTR no matter what the HP. And remember its not the vehicle thats tailgating you and speeding its the person driving it. Most of the time its people who drive Euro and Exotics speeding and tailgating.

Haters will be haters, that is a given. Hey Hennessey, see all these haters here? That means you are doing something special, keep up the good work and I'll expect to see triple the haters next month, that's the true measure of success. Meanwhile, true gearheads around the world rejoice at vehicles that can be considered speepers. Cars that look real bleak, but go like stink. If you don't appreciate your on the wrong website.
