2012 Audi A6 Avant spied
Set for a Frankfurt debut
Our spies have caught several new pictures of the 2012 Audi A6 Avant, ahead of its debut at the Frankfurt Motor Show in September.
Designed to battle the BMW 5-Series Touring and Mercedes E-Class Estate, the Avant will feature attractive styling with an aggressive front fascia and a sloping roofline.
Under the hood, engine options will carryover from the A6 sedan. This means we can expect a 3.0-liter TDI with 204 PS (150 kW / 201 hp) and 245 PS (180 kW / 241 hp) as well as a 3.0-liter TFSI V6 that produces 300 PS (220 kW / 295 hp) and 440 Nm (325 lb-ft) of torque.

The shape of the Audi line up is pretty much the same these days, isn't it

That pretty much sums it all. I would go for the A6 Avant than the A6 Saloon, or better the A6 Sportback. Sorry the A7.

Can't comment yet but if it will resemble the A4 avant then it will be a winner for me but A7 looks good too... which to pick?

I'm hoping I'm wrong, but I heard a while back that the A6 Avant would no longer be available in North America. Has anyone heard whether this is true or not?
