2012 Ferrari 599 successor to have 700 hp - report
Italian stallion
We've already seen the Ferrari 599 successor on the Fiorano circuit, but we're just starting to learn new information about it.
According to Autocar, the next-generation model - dubbed the F152 - will feature a retuned 6.3-liter V12 engine from the Ferrari FF. Nothing is official, but sources are indicating that it will likely produce upwards of 700 hp (522 kW / 710 PS).
If that hasn't tickled your fancy, the 599 replacement will reportedly be lighter than the current model. Despite this, the car is expected to use an aluminum monoque instead of the carbon fiber setup featured in the Lamborghini LP700-4 Aventador.
No word on when the car will be introduced, but Ferrari has previously confirmed it will be a 2012 model.

Im not a Ferrari fan but i must give kudos to these guys for reducing the weight while upping the power. I hope they can make it sub 1400kg's. I see a tuned version of this engine making it into the Enzo replacement.

It's impossible to make it sub 1400, it's not made from carbon fiber so it may end in 1650-1700 range

F599......
...launched 2006. Replacement coming in 2012? Is it time for the Thoroughbred to 'sire'?
