Lamborghini gave us the Aventador and parent company will give us the R8 GT. We're all going on a summer holiday...

Well, that is totally unexpected. The Audi R8 is a timeless modern classic that needs subtle refinements throughout its model-cycle. Nevertheless, it is a welcome addition to the R8 lineup. Perhaps after the GT Spyder, we could be seeing the next-gen model pretty soon.

I think the replacement would come after the Gallardo replacement. That should be after next year i think.

the R8 started in 2007, model cycle is ~8 years. we will see a R8 facelift in 2012 and the complete R8 model in 2015 earliest.

i hope after this one Audi will start thinking about R10 road car with W12 or W10 TDi in it, can't wait for that TDI supercar, must be impresive :)
