2012 Jaguar XF Facelift leaked
Debuts at the New York Auto Show
The first picture of the 2012 Jaguar XF has leaked to the web, ahead of the car's unveiling at the New York Auto Show.
Looking more elegant that ever before, the updated model features a new hood, a revised front fascia, and sleeker XJ-inspired headlights. Out back, we can expect a modified rear bumper and restyled taillights.
Under the hood, engine options will likely carryover with the exception of a new 2.2-liter four-cylinder diesel that develops 190 PS (140 kW / 187 hp) and 450 Nm (332 lb-ft) of torque. As we have previously reported, the engine enables the XF to accelerate from 0-100 km/h in 8.5 seconds, hit a top speed of 225 km/h (140 mph), and average 52.3 mpg UK (5.4 L/100km / 43.5 mpg US).

Wow I like it, big improvement! Can't help but think it should have looked like this in the first place

I feel bad. When the XF first came out I wished it had looked more like the C-XF concept. Now they've facelifted it to my expectations it looks plain, somehow.

your argument only holds up at the front end of this new XF and the XJ, although I feel the added girth of the XJ will clearly indicate its not a XF. Regardless, once you get to the side and rear profiles, you will DEFINITELY be able to tell the two apart!
I cant say the same for Audi... each of their saloons is an upsized version of the last. No individualism whatsoever. And I'd say the same goes for BMW's 5 and 7 Series.

Wow - that's exactly what the XF is supposed to look like ... Aggressive and eating you if you don't move, when you see the cat in the rear-view-mirror...

Like the lights...DON'T like the chrome...lose it. It looks just as bad on BMW's 7 series.

Im sorry, but the most Jaguar looking Jaguar was the S sytpe, and the old XJ, they may have been boring, but they were DAMN sure British, and could be called a "Jag" from a mile away

Cover up the grill with your thumb and you're looking at a new BMW 5 series due to the way they angled out the edge of the new lights and added two concentric rings. I like it better as well, but I have a feeling some Germans are going to be grumbling from across the channel tonight.

it looks better just like the Jaguar C-XF concept few years ago....now I want to see a facelift of XJ.

Personally, I like this more. I was never a fan of the headlamp arrangement of the previous design.

This is what the XF was meant to look like after the C-XF concept was shown. Absolutley stunning!

It looks a bit too XJ-ish. I opine that Jaguar had to design another front-end for the XF than for the XJ.

All the way to Korea. Nothing British about it. Is this a true Jaguar? No, they got it all wrong. It is a matter of "attitude". They have missed the point. I suggest they look closer to what VW did with Bentley and BMW with Rolls.

They did. Look, beemers (3-series) headlights. Much better though than old ones.

Looks like Rover is making a comeback through Jaguar, that front end looks like a Rover 200.

2012 xf is a poor copy of xj. 2011 xf was much better, a stunner. Do not like 2012 xf.
