Diamond-studded F3 tires from Cooper [video]

Cooper Tires celebrates its participation in British Formula 3 racing with a diamond-encrusted set of tires

Cooper Tires has decided to celebrate the diamond anniversary of its participation in British Formula 3 racing by creating a set of diamond-encrusted tires.

Yes, those tires with the diamond-spelled Cooper logo were fitted to the Carlin team's Formula 3 car driven by Rupert Svendsen-Cook. But Cook didn't see fit to take the car for a spin, lest he lose one of those very valuable diamonds on the track...and then have to find it.

The rocks came from London jeweler JK Diamonds which also supplied the Swarovski crystals to outfit the Cooper logo on the tires.
