Aston Martin One-77 up for sale in Dubai - 6.4.2011 / Alain Class Motors

Top speed of 200 mph (355 km/h)

If you missed out on your chance to buy the Aston Martin One-77, you might want to give Alain Class Motors a call as the company has one in stock.

Priced at an undisclosed sum, the exceedingly rare supercar features a pearlescent white exterior and a cabin upholstered in premium red leather.

As we have previously reported, the One-77 is powered by a 7.3-liter V12 engine that develops 750 hp (559 kW / 760 PS) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque. It is paired to a six-speed robotized manual gearbox, which enables the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph in approximately 3.5 seconds and hit a top speed of 220 mph (355 km/h).

I wonder if it was intended for resale. Or the owner was dissapointed and just didn't like the way it drove.

probably the former... uber rare cars like this have a huge speculation market. People will snap them up with the intention to resell for profit

I thought AM take the measurements and size of the buyer to tailer make the seats and instrument panel? If this company bought the car to resell what did AM do?

They would have worked on the measurements provided/obtained from the original buyer. The good thing about Aston Martin, is that their company provides a service to not only restore, but customise and adjust all of their vehicles, from new to classic and used. This means whoever buys this car, only needs to have it taken in (well really sent back to the UK) to have the car adjusted as they see if). If you have enough to buy this car, you can afford the shipping charges and the cost of the alterations.

Definitely bought for resale, otherwise it won't be in such tasteful color combination

Al Ain Class Motors are known specialists for having the newest supercars available for sale well before anybody else, despite their supposed exclusivity.

I don't really like this car... especially the back of it - it's very underdesigned. It's a bit too much (for an AM) and at the same time not enough to have such a price tag. But as Clarkson said once they charge you so much just because they can.

one of the key point in the One-77 is PERSONALIZATION. i.e. you order the car the way you want. Buying it off the showroom from someone else's color choice defeats this haute couture experience.

yes it does, but you still have one of 77 cars like this, which you just wouldn't be able to buy other way.

This looks stunning. Shame the price will be even more ridiculous than the original RRP. As for benefits of personalisation, which applies to ALL new cars really, I'm sure AM would change the seat for you if you asked. Depends how fat your butt is.

I believe the owner wants to make a profit rather than cutting losses. As Terry would say in 70's series MINDER, "Nice little earner!"

Being Aston Martins top-tier, they should've focused on the topspeed, (Veyronkiller?) considering the astro price tag.

Not necessarily, you can win in the top speed race by just putting a powerful engine in a light body, the hard part is making it a street and track worthy car. The Veyron can hit a high speed and so can the SSC Aero, but try putting them on a track and they move like a brick (well in comparison to similar cars). Even Mercedes decided that it was pointless having the highest top speed and now focuses on handling and luxury.

Look how many number plate lights that car has! 2 is normal, 4 is already a lot (e.g. VW Phaeton has 4), but 6 is crazy :D
