2012 Chrysler 300C SRT8 spied on the road

Here are a set of spy shots of the upcoming 2012 Chrysler 300C SRT8 out for some exercise on the roads of Michigan.

The prototype spotted here has 20-inch wheels and large brakes which leads us to think this next 300C SRT8 will be sharing more than a few components with sister brand Dodge's Charger SRT8 which debuted at the Chicago auto show back in February.

That would include the Brembo brake system and what lies beneath the hood. The Charger SRT8 comes with a 6.4-liter HEMI V8 doling out 465 bhp (347 kW / 471 PS) and 465 lb-ft (630 Nm) of torque. Gearbox is a five-speed automatic transmission worked by paddle-shifters on the steering wheel. We can expect the identical drivetrain set up on the Chrysler 300C SRT8 when it debuts later this year.
