Special Pagani Huayra prototype filmed close-up on a small-town street in Italy [video]

High-definition video of a special prototype Pagani Huayra that the luxury supercar marque will use for testing future editions

Here's a video from our friend Marchettino of the Pagani Huayra having its morning espresso on an Italian city street.

The footage was taken in the town of Castelfranco Emilia, close to Pagani's facility, during the 10th annual "Motori e Sapori" (Motors and Tastes) event.

Marchettino shoots the Huayra close up and with a gentle, appreciative touch. We also get to see the Huayra in high-def too which (video can be viewed in 720p and 1080p), with the natural lighting, really brings out the finer details of the car.

This prototype here, Marchettino reports, is not the same as the one shown at the Geneva auto salon earlier this month. It's the factory's own Huayra PT4 (Prototype 4) which the specialty marque will be using to test future editions of the car.

Finished in a matte silver and a complimentary lush brown interior, it's hard to think that this Huayra only has a future as a test mule.

Awesome car, horrible music. Seriously, did they get a bunch of junior high kids to play that? It doesn't sound professional... especially the violin. OK back to the car... this thing is unbelievable.

It really goes to show how a small, specialty and wildly-popular sports car marque like Pagani would have the budget to produce quality sportscars similar to much bigger competition such as Ferrari, Lambo, Porsche and Audi (R8).

Like I said before, Ferrari and Lamborghini need to go back to the drawing board and make something 'hyper' to rival Pagani and Koenigsegg; two of the best in the business after the ultimate Veyron. Leaf-inspired side mirrors and jewellery-style identical lights are particular delights! Only Spyker can match interior materials for sheer visual panache and pizzaz.

Critics be damned, this is a gorgeous car! I was hoping for some movement, but 1080p close-ups have given my eyes all the car porn they can handle. I can only look at ugly cars now until tomorrow... So there's a new Mansory 7-Series, is there? You know where to find me. Today, at least.

is a great car, left the drawing board of talented Horacio Pagani, an Argentinian of Italian birth and by choice. There is no better sports car in the world...style... design ...quality
