Lamborghini Gallardo destroyed to protest bad service [video]

When life gives you lemons, make Lamborghiniade

WARNING: The following video contains scenes of a graphic nature for Lamborghini fans. Viewer discretion is advised. :)

In a bizarre incident, a Lamborghini Gallardo owner vented his frustration with the vehicle by having it destroyed on World Consumer Rights Day.

As the story goes, the Chinese man purchased the car six months ago and the engine failed to start in November. The hapless buyer contacted the local Lamborghini dealer and made arrangements to have it taken in for service. Sadly, when the car was returned, the problem wasn't fixed and the Gallardo was damaged during transport.

Understandably upset, the owner tried to get the dealership to make amends but to no avail. Following the incident, the man reached out to Lamborghini and company CEO Stephan Winkelmann. When this didn't resolve the situation, the owner decided to draw attention to his complaints by having the car destroyed in public. According to the owner, luxury brands are exploiting China and not delivering the same quality and service as they do elsewhere in the world.

This guy has every right to do this, in fact its giving Lambo bad press and I bet now they wish they could have served him better, if I spent that much money and get crappy service... I would like to be able to make my case and this dude certainly has

Omg. I haven't laugh this much in a long time it almost made me cry. First of all Chinese complain at the quality do they have a right to do that? Everything they make is crap or very close to it. Second the guy hitting the right tail light if he didn't have a rubber hammer then lambos are tough. He got tired which made me laugh even more. Chinese tried their own medicine and didn't like it. Lmao

hope u re not using iphone or ipad or LED TV or any home electronics... u must be complete idiot to be using them when they are crap or close to it... it makes me laugh more when seeing people keep making ignorant statement like that... go ahead live in a cave then you don't need to use any chinese-made goods... u ppl don't get the story, sometimes the extreme action performed by chinese rich dude is just to show off the wealth rather than really wanna complain...

Well, my friend, he HAS the right to complain about it - he did pay up the price of the Lambo. The fact that most chinise production is cheap and crap, doesn't excuse Lambo for not repairing the car. They got their money , so in my eyes, the guy has every right to complain!!!

@panamera. Yeah, there are some ignorant statements here against China which I don't agree with, but your comments and hubris are almost as ignorant. Apple, Philips, Sony, etc. don't have to make their products in China, and they will probably go elsewhere once labor costs rise beyond a certain point in China. In other words they don't rely on China because the real value added (i.e. engineering and development) is occuring in their home countries. About 20 years ago when practically nothing was manufactured in China, my family was living in a nice, centrally air-conditioned house in America, watching color TV, driving a car and using all kinds of electrical and electronics products, none of which were assembled in China. You seriously have a distorted view of reality and a massive chip on your shoulder.

Yeah, he really showed Lamborghini, that will solve all the problems. Lamborghini is reconsidering their service plan now.

ha, ha, ha, good one... certainly they'll shut down the factory until this issue is solved, ha, ha... the bottom line is that as other guys said, these are his money, if he wants to have a BBQ every weekend and each time he wants to use a Lambo as fire wood, what can you say or do? It's a free world... but also I can give him my account number, so if he won't have a BBQ in one Saturday and will not start a bonfire with a Lambo I could use the funds involved in this... :D... I'll wait for an answer from him :)...

This guy decided to get the weakest people in China to destroy his car; it's like they hadn't eaten a meal in weeks or something. If the engine could start, he could have easily drove that home at the end of the demonstration, slapped on some new lights, glass and a fresh coat of paint and it would've looked good as new - not much a show...fail

hmmm, Cameron did it to a Ferrari in Ferris Buller's Day Off, so why not a Lambo :-D But seriously, if you got the cash, why not? All is not peaches an cream even for the rich. They too have issues with quality service just like the rest of us. I for one think this was brilliant. How many millions are gonna see this video, and how many might stay clear of a Lambo and get a Ferrari or Porsche instead?! Even if it's just one person, I'd say it was worth it. Corporations worldwide need to do better by their products

Looks like chinese have so much labor that when they want to destroy something they do it with rubberhammer and with a dozen of men :D. In western countries there would be just one guy with steelhammer.

And people like those in the video really complain that they don't receive the same service and quality like the rest of the world? Maybe because they just don't behave like the rest of the world

This piece of Italian junk should have been taken to a PLA gunnery range and reduced to a heap of scrap metal for a good measure as these guys were not pounding hard enough to really make a thorough statement vis a vis Lamborghini's disservice towards its customers .Obviously enough , the car owner has tons of money to burn in order to burn this defective machinery .

I think that he should have done it outside the lambo showroom in the road! Its actually crazy how little a some manufacturers care about their customers!!! I would have been so fustrated so i dont blame him and if you have the money- hell why not! I guarantee you that the boss of lambo will see this! Truth of the matter is that you do get the odd dud car.
