when did this trend for brown cars come from? seems like brown is the new white

Saw a 2011 brown Audi R8 Spyder for sale...looked unusual. Don't know whether the colour will help a cars desirability when it goes out of fashion though. Similar to classic brown and beige cars.

Don't know how they managed it...but it looks pretty decent. Quality interior too. It's become the left-field thinking mans choice of BMW. Clever Trussardi.

This has to be every UPS Driver's wet dream. Why didn't they choose the 7 to work from? Classic workmanship completely wasted on an awkward and redudant vehicle. Imagine the finished product if they actually had a handsome looking car to start with! Really, who buys this car over much better options in the market place?

Ive always kinda liked the 5er gt. I gotta say the ass needs restyling but the rest isnt too bad. I also wish theyd put the face of the gt on the ordinary sedan. Not sure about the exterior colour on this version, but it does have an element of class to it

I realized, upon seeing these pictures, the 5erGT controversial exterior appears better in dark colors than lighter ones. Perhaps the darker shades 'blunts' the exterior details so much, it effectively blanketed the five-door hatchback unwanted quirks.
Nevertheless, it looks better.

Think design, think Italian. A souless car given a soul. The GT is a new kind of car for (and from) BMW and Trussardi probably chose it for that reason. I can imagine the aroma of pure leather and that brown hue exudes authentic charm on this car. Like I said, think design,....

Big thumbs down on this car. No spoilers, body kits, or power increase?? They change the interior and paint it a Buick/Kia brown color and put gunmetal grey rims on it. Who would actually buy this? I can just see a potential buyer right now in the salesroom trying to order one..."Yeah make mine dog doo-doo brown with the hot dog gayhound insignia on it"... I almost threw up looking at it. It looks like a mix between an Accord Crosstour and an Acura ZDX. But Im sure for the price of this 550GT you could buy the Honda, the Acura, and definitely a fully loaded Kia. My suggestion is to flush this POS down the toilet and come back with something Batman would be proud to be seen in.
