Built to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the unification of Italy

If you thought the Lamborghini leaks ended with the unveiling of the Aventador LP700-4, think again. The company's upcoming Gallardo Tricolore has made an unexpected internet debut ahead of its official unveiling on March 16th.

Built to celebrate the 150th anniversary of the unification of Italy, the special edition features a white exterior with carbon fiber mirrors and a tricolor strip that runs the entire length of the car - including the driver's seat.

No word on pricing, availability, or power but production will likely be limited to 150 units.

The put 3 stripes up the car, will limit production and then sell it at a premium to idiots who want to be "different". Just give me a regular LP560-4 and I'll be happy. On another note, this car is starting to date now...needs to be replaced.

With dreary Audi in charge, maybe the stripe should be black red and yellow?

Will they build RHD versions? And if the do, will the stripes be on the RH of the car?

You forgot the most important question... will the steering wheel be upside down if they sell it in Australia?

I hope they don't!! You need to understand that you're driving from the wrong side of the car. :))

kidding me right? porsche has 200 different MODELS of the 911. i thought that was bad. lamborghini have gone one step lower. and have like a new colour scheme gallardo every two weeks. sick of it already. its just the same car with different colours, big deal

correction. its not models. its 'special editions'. the one who came up with 'totally different models' is aston martins. talking about models, pfft!

..and a new Berlisconi edition...comes with a hooker. I like the way they stitched in the stripe on the drivers seat. I'd buy this if I had millions in the bank.

I fear new Gallardo will go the 'efficient' route of the Aventador. However, this one is rather special! Guys lighten up; it's called marketing so get used to it!

Lambo are a bit late to the party. Perhaps they are hoping that nobody remembers the Pagani Zonda Tricolore and the Ferrari 360CS with Italian stripes?
