Saab 9-5 SportCombi new photos and video

Surprise concept car additional details released

Saab wants to keep their all-new 9-5 SportCombi fresh in our minds. To do so they have released a few more photos and a video prior to its public unveiling in Switzerland next week.

For the Geneva Motor Show, Saab is not only introducing their new wagon, but also the 9-3 facelift known as the Griffin line-up and the 9-3 Convertible Independence Edition. Sounds like a decent showing. However, there's one more surprise in the form of an unknown concept car.

Following a vague teaser earlier this month Saab has released a few more details, admitting the concept follows Saab's unique Scandinavian and aircraft-inspired design heritage under the tutelage of new Saab Design Director Jason Castriota. For the alleged 9-2 concept, features include all wheel drive with an electrically powered rear axle and a ground-breaking car communications platform using the Android operating system.

We eagerly await.

Very nice and more attractive than the current A6 Avant in my opinion.

Great news! Coming out with new product in a timely manner is the best way to run a car company. The new 9-2 concept sounds intriguing and could make SAAB unique in the market. Judging by Jason Castriota's previous work, the 9-2 should be a stunner.

I drive an MB C230 4matic wagon. I'm sick of MB so this is a welcome alternative to that. BMW wagon (3&5) look old already. Audi wagons lack luster every place except the front end. Cadillac wagon is toooo big looking.
