These are the latest spy shots of an early chassis test mule prototype of the upcoming Ford mini SUV based on the Fiesta.
The spy shots published here come out of the United States as the mule spied here is sporting Michigan plates. But this model's main market will be Europe where it will go up against entries into this new compact SUV segment such as Opel's 'baby Antara' and the MINI Countryman.
It's obvious how this mule is riding on a raised chassis and our spy photographers even managed to get an up-close shot of that undercarriage where we see some components of the new suspension.
But not much is known yet of this Fiesta-based SUV, although, we can expect it to share engines with the Fiesta including variants of the 1.6 liter petrol and a 1.6 liter TDCi diesel.
