Spy shots show XF doing some winter testing in Scandinavia and sporting a modest styling revision

Here are the latest spy shots of the upcoming facelifted 2012 Jaguar XF.

Spied for the first time winter testing in Scandinavia, the modest update that the XF will get is not easily being given away here. In fact, the camouflage maybe tells us there will be substantial stylistic revisions to both the front and rear ends of the car.

The design changes to the front fascia appear to include a larger grille and new headlights. At the back is a new taillight cluster and a revised bumper. But since Jag is still covering body panels such as the side wings (front and back) as well as the bonnet and trunk, there may be even more changes to the XF's styling coming than we've been able to spot.

No new power plants are expected under the hood but a future Jaguar XF model range may also sport a hybrid variant, as Jaguar showed such a prototype last year.

No new engines? Really? I thought it was a given that the XF was getting the 2.2 diesel that the Evoque will be using...?

Front will be XJ-like and rear probably with more LED technology. Watching recently a XKR and XK camouflaged photos I think Jaguar is going to make all the models XJ front like.

The XF donated its front end to the XJ.

The new XF-R will probably have 519 BHP while the rest of the world is at 570-600 BHP. ZZzzzzzzzzzzzzz. Btw, they need to change the poxy steering wheel that they have been using for years in the XK. Either way I am not interested....I test drove an XK cos all the UK journalists were salivating over what an amazing car it was, turns out it was one of the worst cars I have ever driven - bad steering, heavy car, unrefined engine, old steering wheel, an interior that is trying to be great but is so not. Not to mention Jags can't handle, all lap times from any Jag anywhere is poor. Limited budget is the problem in my view.
