Suzuki Swift S-Concept teased for Geneva reveal
Suzuki Swift S-Concept teaser preview 09.02.2011

The S-Concept represents a sportier design theme of the recently launched third-generation Swift model

Suzuki has announced the debut of the Swift S-Concept at next month's Geneva Motor show. Based on the recently launched third-generation Swift model, the S-Concept represents a sportier design theme. Naturally, performance will be a key element as well, but that's all the info Suzuki is giving at the moment.

Reports have been circulating for some time that this sporty concept will lead to a production version which will receive a VW sourced 1.4-liter turbo engine. Power output will be 180 PS (132 kW / 178 bhp) via a seven-speed dual clutch transmission down to the front wheels.

Looking at the teaser image we can see a Kizashi inspired front grill with large air intake pockets, flared fenders, dual-beam headlamps, streamlined mirrors and a roof spoiler.

The Suzuki Swift S-Concept makes it's debut on March 1st in Geneva.

Suzuki to show SWIFT S-CONCEPT at 2011 Geneva International Motor Show

Suzuki Motor Corporation will be exhibiting a new concept car named the SWIFT S-CONCEPT at the 81st Geneva International Motor Show*.

The SWIFT S-CONCEPT is based on the new Swift, which Suzuki began marketing in Europe in autumn 2010. In line with Suzuki's brand philosophy of delivering excitement, its overall development concept was to create a stylish sport compact with premium performance. A "more sporty and exciting" design theme is reflected by a stylish look.

Suzuki also plans to exhibit the Swift, Splash, Alto, Kizashi, Jimny, Grand Vitara, and SX4.

Detailed information about the SWIFT S-CONCEPT and Suzuki activities can be obtained at the Suzuki Press Conference, scheduled on 1 March 2011, at 1:45 p.m., on stand 42.51, Hall 4.

* The 2011 Geneva International Motor Show is open to the public from 3 to 13 March 2011. Press days are scheduled on 1 and 2 March.

I sincerely hoped the new Swift Sport would look better than its predecessor, and the front fascia looks promising!

Potential winner here. Unfortunately, Europe won't have the very impressive compact saloon, Kizashi, causing a stir in America and Australia.
