Upgraded John Cooper Works Pack for 2011 MINI

Tuning package from JCW includes a body kit and performance upgrades for certain models

John Cooper Works (JCW) has announced an upgraded tuning package for the 2011 MINI.

The John Cooper Works Pack for the MINI Cooper and MINI cabriolet models includes stylistic touches such as the black border around the lower body of the car, a honeycomb grille and side skirts that curve inwards that give the MINI models that distinct JCW look. For the inside, there's contrasting red stitching for the black leather of the sport steering wheel, JCW-badged door sills and a JCW adorned gear shift for manual gearboxes.

The package also provides 17-inch light alloy wheels in a Cross-Spoke Challenge design and DTC (Dynamic Traction Control) and EDLC (Electronic Differential Lock) functions to compliment the stability system.

The package is available for all variants of the MINI Cooper and cabriolet variants.

Power upgrades are also available for the MINI Cooper S, MINI Cooper S Clubman and MINI Cooper S cabriolet with the help of the John Cooper Works Tuning Kit. The twin-scroll turbocharged 1.6 liter 4-cylinder engine can be optimized to produced 200 bhp (202 PS/150 kW) and 184 lb-ft of torque (250 Nm) while 18-inch Cross Spoke Red Stripe light-alloy wheels are also an option.

The JCW Pack goes on sale in the spring as a factory-fit option.

Hopefully it will have a LSD to tame the torque steer from hell. Did BMW fire all the driveline engineers for the MkII Mini?

Agreed! There electronic BS is pointless for tracking the car. I sold mine and went civic for the track. It's also annoying how so many parts are only avail through BMW
