Honda has released a web preview of all-new Fit Shuttle for Japan

Honda has released a web preview of all-new Fit Shuttle for Japan. Known as the Jazz in some parts of the world including Europe and Australia, Honda has taken the five-door hatchback subcompact car and extended it to become a compact MPV.

The Fit Shuttle employs a center-tank layout packaging arrangement to create more interior and luggage space in a compact body. In addition to a 1.5-liter gasoline model, Honda will also offer a 1.3 hybrid model equipped with the compact and lightweight IMA (Integrated Motor Assist) system which will be the first wagon-type hybrid model in its class.

The Fit Shuttle is set to launch in Japan this March. No word yet about other markets. We've added some leaked magazine scans for your viewing pleasure.

Its a family car. Family cars are not meant to be pretty. I drive a Sienta for my kid, not for me.

They're not mutually exclusive. There are plenty of attractive family cars. The Airwave for example was much better resolved than this imo. Btw, i like the Sienta ;)

If it keeps the fuel tank under the front seat, it'll have as much internal space as the Space Shuttle.

I believe this model will replace the Airwave in Japan.
