Renault Wind Gordini revealed ahead of Geneva debut
Minor tweaks, unique touches
Renault has released the first pictures of the Wind Gordini, ahead of its debut at the Geneva Motor Show.
Designed to appeal to motoring enthusiasts, the Wind features a sport suspension as well as a traditional blue and white paint scheme. Inside, changes are relatively minor but include two-tone leather seats, a sport steering wheel, and a Gordini gear knob.
Under the hood, engine options will likely carryover from the standard model. This means we can expect a turbocharged 1.2-liter with 100 PS (74 kW / 99 hp) as well as a naturally-aspirated 1.6-liter with 133 PS (98 kW / 131 hp).
Look for more information to be released when the car is officially unveiled next month.

Too much show and no go. Renault Gordinis used to have same cachet as the Fiat Abarth. Now, they're merely cosmetic. Renault have lost their vava voom since merging with Nissan, who are reinventing themselves with innovative designs and serious engineering both combustive and alternative.

YAY! I just LOVE cynical marketing ploys!
Oh wait, now I remember. I HATE them......

Can really the change of clientele who were seeking a more or less cultivated alternative to German brands to mere collective idiocy serve somebodies interests in Renault? Doubtful, but may be somewhere else.

Now just some tuning company should make a power kit for the 1.2l turbo. Screw 150-180 hp out of it.

Doesn't this have an RRP of something around ?17k? They're already selling them for ?13k here in the UK on a 'special offer' basis. This Gordini silliness will just inflate the official price to almost ?20k for a bit of blue stuff. Make it faster.
