BMW High Security Vehicles training video
Video shows driver training in avoiding 'dangerous' situations and roadside attacks
Here's another BMW video featuring one of its now not-so-secret testing facilities.
This one is on a former East Block military base in eastern Germany where BMW conducts driver training for its High Security Vehicles division.
The video shows BMW training bodyguard drivers on how to avoid staged road blocks and roadside attacks as well as bombs and explosions.
We're guessing this type of training also involves using armored BMW vehicles but there is no mention of that in the video by the stodgy, authoritative voice of narrator.
Maybe there are some secrets BMW still wants to keep.

I can now see why Jeremy Clarkson was insisting on explosions for Top Gear attempt to create a VW advertisement!

That's kind of too optimistic training, if someone actually wants to kill them the bombs would explode under the car not just on the sides, also terrorists attack with bigger guns than that and with more people not just one standing on the side of the road and then running, I know this training is about learning to react in the best possible way but actual bad guys wouldn't let their target go that easily.

That's interesting. I didn't knew that attackers use fireworks to kill important people. I will try to ambush some "protected" vehicles with whatever remained from new years eve celebrations.

what kind of roadblock would leave a gap at the side wide enough for a car to pass? Or not box in the car at the 'fake accident' with another car behind? Looks more like a way to have some fun and smash up some BMWs than an especially useful exercise.

what a completely unrealistic attack scenario....Motion picture productions like DieHard 4 as well as the Bourne series would readily put to shame this implausible effort by BMW .
