MINI Cooper SD scheduled for Geneva debut - report
On sale later this year
According to a recent report, MINI will introduce the Cooper SD at the Geneva Motor Show.
Essentially a diesel-powered version of the Cooper S, the car is expected to use a modified 1.6-liter (or 2.0-liter) engine with approximately 143 hp (107 kW / 145 PS) and 225 lb-ft (305 Nm) of torque. While this doesn't compare favorably to the 184 hp (137 kW / 187 PS) Cooper S, the SD is expected to return a combined 65 mpg (imp).
It remains unclear if the Clubman and Countyman SD will also be unveiled at same, but we wouldn't be surprised if the whole SD lineup takes center stage in Geneva.

It will use a BMW 2.0 apparently. And you can bet we'll see it in the Clubman, Countryman and Paceman too.

for that to ever realistically appeal to me for a run about type car it would need the 123d engine
