Thieves steal BMW 7-Series used for Detroit Auto Show
Police still searching
Two bold thieves have stolen a BMW 7-Series that was used for the North American International Auto Show.
According to local media reports, the duo grabbed the $94,000 luxury sedan on Wednesday night when it was being loaded onto a car hauler in front of the Westin Book Cadillac hotel.
While the 7-Series wasn't on display at the show, it was being used to shuttle executives during the press preview.
Detroit police are still searching for the vehicle, but it is equipped with BMW Assist (which features a stolen vehicle locator) so hopefully it will be returned intact.
UPDATE 01.19.2011 - The BMW 750i xDrive was recovered from Detroit's west side and reported to be in excellent condition.

They should leave it unlocked in a really bad neighborhood so someone else steals it again, and then they'll be off free!

What a way to go in style to steal a car and have all options on it. It is funny

Unless this was a situation of someone foolishly leaving it unattended, BMW assist was disabled soon after it was taken. If you have the equipment to successfully crack the rolling IR and RF codes required to unlock and start this, then disabling a telematics system is childsplay!

+1. If it hasn't been disabled, shouldn't they be able to locate the car by now? I mean it's BMWNA's property, they don't have to go through the steps required by the customers to locate their car thru BMW assist (like making official police report of the missing vehicle, etc etc). They should have been able to locate the car quickly.

Soon they'll receive the anonymous ransome letter containing the car's badge, then the passenger door mirror, etc.

Is it white, with white leather and german plates? Because if it's not, I'm not interested :D

Why would it need a car hauler if it was being used as a shuttle?
January 14, 2011 5:17 am
As I understood, this car wasn't at exposition building that's why it was much easier to steal

@Hardboy997 - It is actually....I just have to ship it over from Detroit! Cash only!

I would not be surprised if this was a publicity stunt. I mean, come on. Lol, they might be trying to show off the BMW assist.

THE MOST POWERFUL ENGINE - PAUT MOTOR- YouTube
Prototype 2 is performed as an engine with two-sided pistons, positioned at 90? to each other, in combination with PAUT two-stroke cycles (fig 1). Such construction provides an engine containing less assembling parts, having smaller mass to power and overall-dimensions to power ratios, which are the presumptions for a successful product to be accomplished and for low cost production/exploitation to be expected. Smaller mass, compared to the prior art engines, derives from the fact that PAUT engine contains considerably less assembling parts lacking elements such as: rods, camshafts, camshaft's driving parts, some valves, large heads.
The very construction of the two-sided piston (fig 3) has more advantages. Contact area between two-sided piston and cylinder is considerably larger compared to prior art pistons. Hence, specific pressures are lower and since the two-sided piston is lubricated under the pressure, the friction is considerably smaller, the more so as we know that normal force Fn in the engine center equals zero (fig 2a).
All these results with less wear of the piston and the cylinder. Such a two-sided piston has considerably smaller mass compared to the prior art assembly it replaces, consisting of two pistons with their prison-shafts and two belonging rods, resulting in lessening of linear motion
