American tuners Famous Autosports and Tecnocraft have teamed up to offer Tecnocraft's carbon fiber body and interior kit for the Lamborghini Gallardo.
The carbon parts for the Gallardo model are extensive and include aerodynamic underbody panels, front bonnet, rear wing, rear diffuser, bucket seats, engine covers, an air box and racing harnesses.
The complete package of carbon fiber parts made by Tecnocraft saves up to 136 kg (300 lbs) of weight on a standard Gallardo.
Sounds great until you see the itemized prices for each component. Just the front bumper cover comes in at $4,500 (€3,363) while the rear diffuser costs another 4,500 bucks. That rear wing alone is priced at $6,800 (€5,082). Then again they are carbon fiber and not inexpensive to manufacture.
Famous Autosports is located in Canoga Park, CA while Tecnocraft's facility is in Pico Rivera, CA.
