Mercedes-Benz Sunday drivers - Schumacher and H?kkinen [video]
Formula One legends extend their friendly rivalry for a Mercedes-Benz ad featuring its all-wheel drive technology
Here's a video featuring once-arch rivals Michael Schumacher and Mika Häkkinen enjoying a little friendly rivalry while driving Mercedes-Benz models through a very wintery mountainous landscape.
Häkkinen, driving a new E-Class wagon, passes Schumi in his classic second generation SL convertible and calls him a Sunday driver.
Both are then overtaking by a young woman driving a G-Class.
Now, Häkkinen and Schumacher are no longer hot-shots in their 20s. But senior citizens? Easy there, sumptuous lady.
Yes, the ad is meant to showcase Mercedes-Benz's all-wheel drive technology. Take note.

Technology is better than an F1 driver?! It?s just an ad but...says a lot about F1 right now.

It doesnt say anything, it is obvious that car is 95% of success and 5% is the driver but it is crucial in F1 - lets imagine Seb Vettel in ford fiesta vs orydinary driver in subaru wrx guess who will win?

Ah ha, I get it now. Very subtle humor, shame they didn't make more use of them both and extend the advert. They could have tried racing each other off some traffic lights before being over taken by the G wagon. :)
