Hyundai Veloster teased for Detroit debut [video]
Scirocco killer?
Hyundai has confirmed plans to introduce the highly-anticipated Veloster at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit.
While the company withheld details, the teaser says the car will feature a direct injection engine, a dual-clutch transmission, and an estimated fuel economy rating of 40 mpg.
Nothing is official, but previous reports have indicated the coupe will be powered by a 1.6-liter four-cylinder with 122 PS (90 kW / 121 hp) and 155 Nm (114 lb-ft) of torque. Later on, a turbocharged 1.6-liter is expected to join the lineup with 177 PS (131 kW / 175 hp).
The Veloster will be unveiled on January 10th, so stay tuned for details.

You should really re-evaluate what you are saying!!! I own 2 cars that are great compared to Hyundai! Hyundai are garbage disposable cars & cannot compare to my Continental GTC or my V8 Vantage...... Have you seen the new S-class, or the new CLS???? Are you blind have you ever driven a Hyundai?? The new 5 series is awesome! I am assuming you live under a rock because Hyundai are horrible cars!!!

Mister ccrispy699, Bentleys and Aston Martins are not for everyone. Luck you - u enjoy the luxuries of driving these superb vehicles. But that does not give u a right to say Hyundai makes horrible cars. U can say that 10 years ago. but now - Hyundai is actually beating some if not most of it's japanese counterparts. Give it, say 5 more years and they'll sure to be no.1 on the sales list. Now I'm assuming u live under a rock, or a very expensive rock for that matter.

Bentley Continental GTC and V8 Vantage? Nice rides, but for most of us we woul be able to afford lower level cars....except for the very lucky few.

CONGRATS to Hyundai. They have proven to be worth a car to the world. Keep it up guys!
Haters gonna hate - but you'll show them ;)

Ignorance has no boundaries! The Veloster has a potential to displace the Coupe, for some time Hyundai's flagship car before the Sonata came along. Now, they have such creations like the Equus, Grandeur....you can fill in the gaps where this is all leading to! Budget motoring has never felt this good! Ford has woken up sales-wise in America because they could see the 'Asian Invasion' strategy continues unabated! Seen KIA's cars lately anyone or are some of you still telling 'Skoda jokes'? I wonder what planet you still are!!

Mr. Crispy699,
You cannot compare apples with oranges.
Aston Martin and Bentleys belong to the 'Supercar' Class - Segment, you can't compare compare them with B or C Segment Hatchbacks....WTH man!!!
Do you even know what are Vehicle Segments and Classes?
Yes we are aware that you are rich enough to drive both Aston Martins and Bentleys...which most of us working class people can't afford.
You are just a rich spoilt brat aren't you?
