Mercedes-Benz will be fitting the C63 AMG Black Series Coupe with a variant of the premium automaker's 5.5 liter twin-turbo V8, according to a report by Inside Line.

The 5.5 liter twin-turbo V8, as seen in the S63 AMG with the AMG Performance Package, is tuned to produce 571 PS (420 kW / 563 bhp) and 900 Nm (664 lb-ft) of torque. But in the next C63 AMG Black Series Coupe total output may even sprint past the 600 PS mark, although Mercedes-Benz has said in the past that its AMG models will be given more towards weight-saving and efficiency-tuning than to engaging in horsepower wars.
The C-Class Coupe will likely be unveiled at the North American International Auto Show in Detroit next month and goes on sale in October 2011.
