Cadillac developing plug-in hybrid crossover - report
Will use Volt technology
According to a recent report, Cadillac is developing an SRX-based plug-in hybrid.
Details are limited, but Automotive News says the crossover will use Volt technology and draw on experience learned from previous extended-range vehicles (aka the defunct Saturn Vue and stillborn Buick compact crossover).
As we have previously reported, the Vue-ick was set to use a Two-Mode hybrid system that featured a 257 hp (192 kW / 261 PS) 3.6-liter V6 and an 8 kWh lithium-ion battery. This would have enabled the crossover to travel up to 10 miles (16 km) on electricity alone and "double the fuel economy of comparably-sized SUVs on short trips."
No word on when the Cadillac will be launched, but expect it to hit the market sometime in the next few years.

Any nidea on the combined power rating with the electric motor. This thing could be fairly quick. It would be even better if they used the high value V6 like in the CTS, it would be a little rocket.

CTS on-stilts. Cool and Provoq-ative. Needs a great V8/hybrid engine to make this crossover an X6 rival.
