2012 Ferrari 599 replacement test mule spy [video]
More questions than answers
With Ferrari set to introduce five new models by 2013, it's no surprise the company has begun testing a replacement for the 599 internally known as F152.
Caught at the Fiorano circuit in Italy, the mule is apparently based on the 599 GTO and features LED-infused headlights, modified bumpers, and a revised four-tailpipe exhaust system.
Little else is known, but the car is expected to be launched in 2012. All-wheel drive could be offered, but nothing is official as of yet. Furthermore, a hybrid variant is a possibility but details are slim.

This video definitely shows hints that the 599 replacement will be a hybrid assisted vehicle, like the Porsche 918. It might have an engine with hybrid booster. Christ, at 0:45 that thing pulls like a locomotive. Shortly after around 1:17 we see the Ferrari coasting almost silent (electric cruise mode?). Again at 1:54. The famous Manettino might now include a dial where you set from all electric to max power. You can bet it'll have KERS as well.

There is no need for exotic marque like Ferrari to compete with low end Nissan.
