Ford to show Kuga/Escape replacing concept at NAIAS - report
Goes into production in 2012
According to a recent report, Ford will introduce a new crossover concept at the North American International Auto Show.
Details are scare, but an Automotive News source has revealed the vehicle will be a thinly-veiled concept which will eventually go into production as the Kuga/Escape replacement. It will reportedly be built in Saarlouis, Germany and Louisville, Kentucky starting in late 2012.
The crossover will be underpinned by the global C platform, which is also used on the C-Max and Focus. No word on what will provide motivation, but expect engine options to mirror those available in the Focus.

Well, this car is on market since 2008 and it sells pretty well, I don't see why they want to replace it. By the way, this desing is called "kinetic design" which Ford uses to european market cars such as this or the Fiesta, S-Max and some few more. I would say there are more Huyndai in the new Cayenne instead in this one. And with that Individual Package the Kuga looks pretty good.

If this thing looks like a Hyundai or Kia is because the Koreans copied a little bit from Ford's kinetic design. IMO Kuga is one of the best looking compact SUVs, so I don't understand why they want to replace it so soon.

They should just modernize the interior and get rid of that 2001 mondeo look. Exterior is just fine, one of the most appealing.

I like that Individual package. If they brought it to the states I would take it for a test drive ;)
