Top Gear UK heads to Iraq for Christmas special [video]

Will trace the trail of the three wise men

Top Gear USA might be getting all the headlines, but fans of the British version can look forward to a new Christmas special which will be aired later this month.

Details are limited, but Clarkson, Hammond, and May will be the Middle East for an epic cheap car challenge. The hosts will start in Iraq and make their way to Bethlehem which is 1,200 miles away. As part of the holiday tie-in, the crew will pick up gold, frankincense and myrrh - while avoiding certain death.

The special will reportedly debut on December 21st, so set the DVRs.

I don't like those clowns and i don't think that they are funny at all , neither objective about the cars they review. I think that they should be performing in a circus , it suits them well

I hope they don't take the p**5 and start sticking guns on the side of their cars and all that. They will probably just stay on the airstrip where the US forces are based and then venture out for an hour here and there. After watching The Hurt Locker I wouldn't be driving too close to people or towns!

...making their way from Iraq to Bethlehem my a**! Who in their right mind believes they will do that on their own?? Of course they're going like inside, heavily escorted by another one plus 5 humvees, 2 Apaches and 1 F-16!! :-) Of course they will only film the 3 of them, giving the impression they're all alone in the big bad desert! They're funny, alright... but please cut the bullsh*t - we're not kids!

Great point! I can't wait to hear what Jezza's excuse for the noise is as he desperately tries to make us believe that the chopper hovering over his head is not an apache and that it is just in our imaginations!!!!

I love Top Gear, but I have to admit that doing a Christmas special in Iraq is wrong. The US are destroying peoples lives there with their fake lie of helping the people even doe they are just robbing all the minerals there, then Top Gear go to Iraq to just mess around with the country, that's like a kick in the teeth for the Iraq people! They do go over the top sometimes!
