Really? I seem to remember seeing one of the Reventons on sale recently in London for less than the list price. Only a few of those were made. Ditto some of the FXX cars. 60 cars sold is a good achievement, they'll EASILY shift the rest.

And remember that Porsche made that 911 classic-thingy with double the 2s price and 250 piece limited edition. All gone in the matter of weeks.

So does this mean it hasn't quite been the bona fide success AM were hoping for? Even the obscenely wealthy don't want to pay that much for a car.
They may have to rename it the One-60.

An Aston Martin, especially the One-77, is catered to a very specific taste. Either you love it or you don't. At that price, you'll only buy it if there isn't a single car that can replace it. Unless you're an arab on the Oil for America Charity Fund. In which case you'll buy 10 just because you can without having any real appreciation for the car. Shame.

In my humble opinion, the apparent turn off for potential buyers is the substandard for the class and the price robotized six speed manual. If they were so enthusiastic about Cosworth re-engeneering the engine to a 7.3 750 hp unit, why couldn't they apply to ZF for an excellent 8HP, and say add a multy-plate clutch pack of the same kind ZF designes for AMG. These wonderfull cars are sold as works of art not engeneering, and that's so like Aston Martin... shame.

I really did not like this car, wanted to hate it just for its exclusivity, but I was wrong to do so. It is beautiful rolling sculpture, and while because of cost I could never own one, It still doesnt make me want to drive it to the 7-11 for a pack of geenerics and a big gulp LOL anyway this car is stunning.

kinda surprised they're not sold out, but im sure they'll have little trouble selling the rest...the car is really a rolling sculpture, just beautiful and it probably has the most glorious N/A engine of any car.

It's built like manual gearbox, but the clutch is electrohydraulicly operated and controlled by computer, which means there's no clutch pedal. BMW's SMG, Lamborghini's EGear, Audi's R-Tronic (which is essentially lambo's egear) gearbox work that way. Also Ferrari's F1 worked like that, but now they using dual clutch system more and more - Clifornia, 458. It's different setup than automatic gearboxes with torque converter or dual clutch systems.

Yeah, how long do u think the 918 spyder would stay on the shelf? People are payin in advance for it! Something isnt ryt with this Aston if they have to look for customers...

You can't compare the two, just look at the difference in the car's price. For one "One-77", you can purchase 3-4 918's. Also, the Aston is built not only to the model shown to the public, but to the demands of the purchaser, they alter the car to what you want, this is just a basic representation.

You wouldn't have the need to say to us if you really had a car better than a toyota supra...

This is a beautiful car! But I do agree with a few of the comments posted about the transmission, it should have a dual clutch! I own an AM V8 & the transmission is a bit sluggish! But I am extremely happy with my AM very reliable & handles great keep up the good work!
