2012 Volkswagen Golf Cabrio rendered
Goes into production next spring
Automotive renderer extraodinaire Jon Sibal has taken a crack at Volkswagen's upcoming Golf Cabrio.
Featuring a retro B-pillar roll bar, from the MKI Golf Cabriolet, the rendering gives us a glimpse at what the convertible may look like when it launches late next year.
As we have previously reported, VW's Chairman of the Board of Management, Prof. Dr. Martin Winterkorn, recently announced the new Golf Cabrio would go into production at the company's Osnabrück factory during the spring of 2011.

Scoff at this MKVI Golf Cabrio all you like, but it actually looks better than the standard hatch! Nicely filled wheel arches makes it look smart.

Brings back memories from the mid-eighties, when it was still acceptable for a boy to drive a Golf Cabrio.

a golf without a roof - took a lot of imagination on the render no doubt - what's more boring than a golf? an article on a golf without a roof

will this mean the end of the current Eos? :-( I agree that Volkswagens are becoming more and more boring, "standard" and they all look the same from a distance... VW wants a standard engine in F1... are we doomed to have a standard car in the future? Shame on you, Volkswagen!
