New Audi A6 still hiding under a shroud but Audi confirms production of the model will begin very soon

These are a few teaser images released by Audi of the upcoming next-generation A6 model.

The new A6 is childishly hiding under the covers, so there isn't much new to tell about its design. The real news is that Audi has announced its production plans for the A6.

The next-generation A6 will be assembled at Audi's plant in Neckarsulm where Audi also builds it other high-end models including the A8, A8 L (extended-wheelbase), the A7 Sportback and the R8 Spyder models.

Production on the new A6 will begin before the end of the year, which means, very soon.

Given that, we can expect the new A6 to debut sometime early in 2011.

WHOAA... such a simple cloth to hide the superb design! Just a stupid joke folks, we all know how executive Audis look, no need to hide them, simple, predictable and somewhat boring.

Boring ? Each car manufacturer have their own design style. BMW 3,5,7, series are very similiar too... This wanna be one more excellent Audi.

+1, I don't understand people saying that the design is boring because they all look the same.. Of course it will, what do you want, an A8, an F430, an Porsche and a hummer with a same brand ??!!!??

The differentiation among BMWs is much, much, much greater than among Audis. Anyone who doesn't even read car magazines could tell a 3 series from a 5 series from a 7 series. You would never criticize the 7 series for being too shark-esque, for example.

It's not much greater, a 3 and a 5 from a long distance are the same, although the 7 has a bit more differentiation I will agree

From what I can see the front doesn't seem to have changed too much. I hope it's not another A4/5/7/8.

There is no reason to hide it into camouflage :) But I belive that it will look much better than A7 or A8

I think it will have similar front as the A7...wich is nice. But i hope they will come up with a new rear end. The new A7 and new A8 have ugly backs...especially those big horible tail-lights!

Sat in a new fully loaded A8 the other day, that interior is something special. Probably my favorite thing about Audi at the moment. That and the R8.

@Andreas2007 Agreed. Audi have good looking cars but there's not much difference. Still they have gorgeous interiors and the R8 is beautiful. This coming from a BMW fan.
