New 6-Series will be featured in car chase in next Mission Impossible movie

Tom Cruise driving a BMW in a Mission Impossible movie? Wasn't it an Audi TT last time? Or was that the time before?

According to reliable BMW blog source Scott27, the next-generation BMW 6-Series will be featured in the upcoming fourth installment of the Mission Impossible film series - Mission Impossible 4: The Ghost Protocol.

Scott27 reports that the new 6-Series will be included in some of the film's car chase sequences and that Tom Cruise, star of the film franchise, was recently privy to a private introduction of the next 6-Series at BMW's headquarters in Munich.

Mission Impossible 4 is currently filming in Dubai and in the U.K. Aside from Cruise, the film also stars Jeremy Renner, Ving Rhames, Josh Holloway, Paula Patton and Michael Nyqvist. It is slated for release on Dec. 16, 2011.

The new I-Drive works a lot better and a lot easier to use. If only people would actually try things out rather than just write ignorant crap...

yeah lighten up, joking... I have 2 right now with the new idrive, is sweet. I even find the old ones ok when i had them. Good to see BMW with some product placement. Last time for BMW is probably Italian Job (mini), or MrMrsSmith (E39s).

I was jokin. In fact I used to use the I drive from the beginning till the latest 1 in the 2011 X5. I never had any problem with it. I see it perfect and easy to control everything with only 1 button. Take it easy bro :)

Haha michelin901, I am just referring to latest trends. Yes the Transporter movie, R8 in Iron Man, Audi iTron in iRobot... where the car matters.

It was an Audi RSQ in iRobot. It based on the R8 LeMans-conception. why not a BMW? Some agents driving a BMW. Think about James Bond..

In the second photo it appears that our intrepid Mr. Hunt is nailing some of the bits back onto car. This car is much too soft for MI franchise.

The last 6series looks much meaner than this Barbie Edition concoction! The MI reputation could be in the balance with this car!! Ultimate Driving Machine? Remains to be seen in the movie! The derriere looks decidedly disproportionate as well as the wheels.
