Now , that's an ugly car !
European carmakers try to please the rich tasteless narcissists of the time by creating cars that "could do anything" and practically be pointless .
What a crap !
It reminds me something like this..

How they say Go for that stupid design !!!!! the Lagonda is originally a sedan that was made in the 80's to the early 90's,,way they dont fallow the steps of that car,,at that days the lagonda looks like a space ship from space,it was a very hi-tech in exterior and interior.

Lagonda stretches back to the 1905, although hit its stride in the 30s, but you are right, they have always been sporting sedans. I guess they want to leap on the SUV bandwagon but can't quite bring themselves to sully the Aston badge on it (although, bizarrely, are happy for it to adorn a Toyota iQ!).

@narco : nope , they should try to please the rich with elegant design and carefully selected lineup (should i remind you the cygnet issue too?),and stay there.
Maybe they will sell hundrets of these in china , but this car will become a joke after the SUV fashion pass away

For the last time, the Cygnet was not Aston Martin's choice. They were forced to make it because of eco-restrictions and all that bullcrap.

Lagonda goes much further back than the 80's in fact, IIRC Lagonda predates Aston...
Under Aston though, Lagonda was aways the 4 door models.
there was a little known Lagonda version of the DBS V8 which ended production, shortly before the 'wedge' was announced....
The wedge though, is the most remembered Lagonda of all (for the wrong reasons!). Hence many people mistakenly thinking it was the only Lagonda!
May I suggest people do a little research before posting?

I meant that they should start from where the last Lagonda production stop,,a luxury 4 door sedan with same DNA,
May I Suggest People stop being a Smart Ass by riding on other backs ??????

What's with the quilted fabric on the seats and the cushion??
Inspired by the white covers in Japanese cabs???

to be or not...to be a footballer... is it a SUV?...is it made by Aston Martin...then yes, it's a must have (it doesn't matter it'll cost a ridiculous amount o' money, it looks like cr*p, it's better when you buy 2 of them - the second one is for dear Posh)

Couldn't they have built a sports sedan? Now excuse me, when I look at the pictures I puked so I going to clean up now : )

Though they may seem different, there is a very fine line between a 4-door coupe and sports-sedan like the M5. For a low volume company like Aston Martin, the line is way to fine for them to build one. And besides, are car like that isn't really Aston. Well neither is this, so I suppose the sports sedan option would probably be the better option.

This just doesn't even look like an Aston Martin. I think the best fate for Aston Martin is for them to be acquired by BMW so they can keep the NA V12 alive while BMW makes 2.0L eco-boxes for the low range without dealing with the car killing emissions regulations.

Yes, emerging market`s esteem luxury SUV...sounds like a market that will need the whale penis leather seating surface.

I guess I'd prefer a really sexy sedan and possibly a wagon stablemate. They could still make it AWD, even allow it to electronically rise on its suspension. This is a sharp turn away from AM's impeccable elegance. It's hard to think this came from the same people to made the DB7. Actually, the team may have been so revolted by the idea that they made it hideous on purpose.

The Nissan Almera hatchback died and the Qashqai resurrected. The Lagonda sedan died and the SUV about to resurrect? Misguided best describes the Toyota iQ association with Aston Martin with their so-called Cygnet micro car. However, this Concept is rather striking and its success will depend very much on Concept design retention, dynamic prowess and reliability. Bold move by Dr Bez, the man who has breathed new life into Aston Martin in practically a decade! Perhaps the Rapide should have been the Lagonda route? Time, prestige rating and sales figures will tell.
