Features an aerodynamic body kit and 24-inch wheels

Hyundai has teamed up with DUB magazine to create a specially-modified Equus for SEMA.

Designed to highlight the car's tuning potential, the Equus features a two-tone (gloss / matte) paint job, a mesh grille, and an aerodynamic body kit. Other goodies include tinted windows, smoked taillights, and 24-inch TIS wheels with Pirelli Pzero Nero tires.

Inside, the cabin has been outfitted with suede / leather upholstery, an illuminated headliner, and custom rear bucket seats. To please audiophiles, the Lexicon sound system has been upgraded with nine Infiniti speakers and four amplifiers.

The car will be displayed alongside the RMR Equus, the ARK Genesis Coupe, and the supercar-inspired Sonata Turbo.

Well known for prolific designs, the fabricators at DUB Magazine have teamed up with Hyundai to customize an Equus, Hyundai's all-new luxury flagship sedan, worthy of this year's SEMA Show in Las Vegas. The DUB Edition Hyundai Equus will debut featuring exterior, interior and audio modifications that tuners will not mistake for anything but the DUB Magazine style.

"We know that SEMA show-goers look forward to seeing the cool new cars like Equus and the unique ways we customize them," said Myles Kovacs, president and co-founder, DUB Magazine. "With this car we tried to give tuners an idea of what modifications can be done within the luxury segment."

Plans for the exterior modifications on the DUB Edition Hyundai Equus include Trex DUB Design mesh grille, DUB Design custom body kit, tinted windows and tail lights, and a custom two-tone, gloss black-and-matte charcoal paint job. The Equus will also feature a DUB Edition custom suspension riding on 24-inch TIS modular style 10 wheels with Pirelli Pzero Nero Tires.

No DUB Magazine custom would be complete without an audio enhancement. Therefore, to add to the already world-class Lexicon audio system that comes from the factory, DUB Design is building a custom trunk enclosure that will be fitted with Infiniti Kappa components including nine Infiniti Kappa Series speakers, KAPPA ONE mono and KAPPA FOUR four-channel amplifiers. Additionally, the interior of the Equus will feature DUB Design custom leather and suede, a DUB Design illuminated headliner and custom rear bucket seats.

The DUB Edition Hyundai Equus will be shown in the Hyundai Booth along with other specially designed cars exclusively built for this year's SEMA Show.

Don't people ever learn? First, they laughed at the Japanese. Now they insist on laughing at the Coreans even though it's clear they will be a force to contend with. European car makers can't keep running upmarket forever. They will eventually price themselves out of the market and start exporting their Chinese-made cars to maintain sane prices.

Right on! My brother and I agreed on that subject few days ago. Hyundai has a V8 engine; that's ambition! Kia is now building serious machines for the masses with 7 year warranties, quietly climbing up the global positioning charts. The uncomfortable truth is the market follower must use a benchmark tool pioneered by the market leader and that's what the Orientals (Japanese, Chinese and Korean car firms) are doing to great effect. Unfair, but sales figures never lie! The quality mark is stepping up in the right direction (upmarket) and the German powerhouses will soon be found out with trademark ridiculous prices (downmarket). A David and Goliath scenario is not an exaggeration here; it's an imminent reality! They've already kicked the Americans in the backside in their own backyard so, who's to say the trend won't continue worldwide?

Come up with your own ideas! All this copying is lame. Knockoffs of real designs whether a handbag or car. Mercedes should sue them

The only things about this car that MIGHT resemble the S Class are the headlights and grille. The rest of this car's design is completely original. What are you bitching about.

Because the actual front design is based on S class and I have to say it does look good with this kit and grill, but those wheels aren't 24" as in the pic, I thing they are 20 or 21" b
