First ever 'Drift with the Supercars' event video
Video shows Cadillac CTS-V Coupe burning up its tires on the hard corners of the Monticello Motor Club track
Here's a helicopter-shot video from the first ever annual "Drift with the Supercars" event at the Monticello Motor Club in New York State.
In the video we mainly get to see a Cadillac CTS-V Coupe burning up its tires on the hard corners of the Monticello Motor Club track. But the CTS-V Coupe is not alone.
Also at the event were an AMG CLK 63 Black Series, a C6 Corvette, a Ferrari 575 Maranello and a Porsche GT3 RS - all of which do their best to create as much smoke as possible.
The AMG CLK Black Series won best drift in the supercar category. The Nissan 350Z won in the plain, old car competition.
The CTS-V took the title of best new car drift.
Check out the video.

Seeing a winning performance from an American car in a Drift Competition speaks volumes! It's the 'Ring stardust working there.

What an incredibly cretinistic waste of good tires! The objective is to get around the racetrack as quickly and as efficiently as possible. This activity not only destroys the tires but trashes the drivetrain of perfectly good cars. Why not just leave that to the japs who, for some bizarre reason, seem to think that this is entertaining?! It's about as much fun as kabuki theater....RIDICULOUS!
