Audi TT RS race version makes its debut on the track
Team Raeder Motorsport testing the TT RS DTM-racer at the Endurance Championship at the Nurburgring
Last week Audi's Quattro GmbH division and Raeder Motorsport announced the Audi TT RS endurance racer which hinted at DTM return for an Audi Motorsport TT.
The TT RS was run by Raeder Motorsport at the Endurance Championship at the Nurburgring this weekend in the SP 4T class and the TT RS will continue racing on October 30 in the same event. The car was driven by five-time VLN winner Marc Hennerici (of Germany) along with Christopher Mies (also from Germany).
The TT RS DTM-racer was developed jointly by Quattro GmbH, Audi's Technical Development unit and Raeder Motorsport. It comes with a 2.5 liter, turbocharged 5-cylinder engine fitted with components from the Audi R8 LMS (LeMans Series).

i think BMW will enter DTM with the M3 , that means there will be coupes racing. i would like to see M3 vs E class coupe vs A5 coupe in DTM, i don't like the racing TT very much.

Is it still AWD ? Hope that this car do well. If you watch Best Motoring videos, the stock TT-RS has unbelievable amounts of understeer !!!

I like the go-kart meets a shopping trolley look that the old TT DTM had. I would ideally like there to be more wild-lookin cars like these on track, and in rally. What about a 1-series M coupe DTM? AND then a return to group B rally. If eco-maniacs are gonna push us all to eventually drive vacuum cleaners, lets at least have racing go to the good old days of extreme excess. I mean- there isn't much pollution these cars put out, not when you compare a field of 70 DTM cars to a field of 100000 Priuses.

incredible offering from Audi on the RS - all that power and efficiency from a 2.5 litre... saw one a while back in the flesh and a truly stunning car in every aspect (but price tag)
