BMW 6-Series cabrio spied at photo shoot
Authentic or fake images?
Here's a spy shot of the 2012 BMW 6-Series cabriolet model caught on a photo shoot. The second image is alleged to be a cleaned up version of the photo by German magazine Autobild, drawing influences, perhaps, from other sources on the 6-series.
The original image came from e90post.com. The 6-Series cabriolet in the photo appears to be wearing European plates.
What we know of the upcoming 2012 6-Series is very little. The safest assumption is to expect an array of 6-cylinder power plants from BMW's stable of engines.
An M6 variant is also expected sometime after the release of the next-generation 6-Series. It will likely be fitted with a 4.4 liter twin-turbo V8 dialed up to around the 600 PS (441 kW) mark.

Those wheels looks aftermarket.. But if this is real, you know how the production version of the coupe is going to look like though. Just add some roof. The front bumper looks less concept-like anyway, you can tell by the increased size of the rear bumper reflexes.

Looks real but more importantly, looks great. The designers did an amazing job with the new 6er.

Rumor has it that the photo shoot was for the accessories catalog, hence the BBS looking wheels. The M5 has been spied with very similar looking wheels: http://www.worldcarfans.com/110072127485/bmw-m5-f10-spied-lifting-its-lid/photos#3

This is a Photo Shop pic, if you look at the flash points and the shadows you can see this. The hot flash point is placed at the Left Rear corner yet the shadows would imply a frontal hot light source. Also, look at the rear wheel arch at the base of the rear bumper, I have never seen a BMW that has a trailing arch, their design has always utilized tight arches following the radius of the tire to give that great wheel to wheel well proportion. But the Flash and Shadow effects alone make the PhotoChop case for me.
