2015 Lexus LC 600h - first details emerge
Replaces the SC 430
According to a recent report, Lexus is developing a high-end model named the LC 600h.
Designed to be the successor to the SC 430, the luxury-oriented sports car - available as a coupe and convertible - will ride on a shortened version of the next-generation LS platform. It will be powered by a hybridized 5.0-liter V8 engine which will produce upwards of 500 hp (373 kW / 507 PS). This should enable the car to accelerate from 0-60 mph in less than five seconds.
Scheduled for launch in 2015, the LC aims to be a legitimate competitor to the Mercedes SL-Class.

Why not. Waiting for more sketches or concept cars. Lexus should make a Mercedes CL or SL rival.

I've never really understood the existence of the CL-class. Also, if the SC 430 was an indication, M-B has nothing to worry about :)

A car to go against the Mercedes Benz SL or CL models would be good and just hope its better all over then the ugly looking and ill fated SC430 thing, I couldnt think of a worst car with looks

That's great, the SC 430 is definitely overdue for a replacement. Although i can think of a worse car in terms of looks, i have to agree with andrewB, the SC 430 was a seriously botched design already when it was first released plus it hasn't aged well, and those wheels, ugh!

No comment, this is a poor photoshop montage look at the other side of the trunk lid. Nice design study though, except the organic fog light binnacles like the volvo s60, the mercedes headlights, and the tiny grille that's mounted way to high.
