This....This...this just aint right! Something looks so odd and strange about this. I just can't seen anyone buying this car. No justice done here.

Eww.. If the current VW Beetle and Chrysler PT Cruiser had a child, it would look like this.

For a moment I thought it is a mule... Now I wish it was. But it looks... kinda finished.
There was a south park episode about Spielberg and Lucas raping Indiana Jones with the last incarnation of the series. And now Volkswagen raped Beetle.

I love the back. I know this will most probably be only a retro-finished TT, but it really does look retro. In a good way. I'm still no fan of the front, but all in all, it's a "classy retro"... And this comes from someone that hated the old-new beetle.

@loki, the front end is not final, they just attached the front/bumper of the current outgoing Beetle, even the rear Bumpers are modified versions from the current Beetle. The tail lights are also taken from the current Beetle. Overall, i'm starting to like the more upright windshield, its much closer to the orginal design and I was never a fan of the over 2 ft deep dashboard of the current Beetle.

I think Beetle could be better. Its interesting, but not what I could call very evolved.

It looks... Chunkier. I'm glad the roofline isn't so high anymore.

I believe it's pretty hard to create something quite extraordinary after the first generation of NB. When it was presented I loved it from the first sight. It was like work of art splendidly reffering to old model. Hope at least this model will be different from all boring present VW's.

Most notably, it looks like they lengthened the wheel base a bit for added room and created a more vertical A-pillar. The one-piece bumper/fender look has grown tiresome. Overall, it's too bland; too similar to the last Beetle and that's ashamed because they could've went in so many directions with a 'new' beetle design; the possibilities were limitless. It needs a major dose of 'Mini-ization'.

the New Beetle sucks in the way it drives and handles (compare to a MINI), not its body styling. this update makes it even less desirable.

some chrome fenders (like the first new mini) , window frames and ,mirrors , an interior in the same color of the exterior , and (why not) a rear engine/wheel drive could make this beetle VERY interesting.
But volkswagen wouldn't dare to do so
