Prototype now showing adjustable side air intakes next to the engine bay

A couple of weeks ago we published the first spy photos of two Lamborghini Jota prototypes testing on the Nürburgring circuit. One was believed to be a Jota Superleggera prototype since it was fitted with a rear spoiler and our spy photographers reported that they had seen the Superleggera moniker on some of the car's equipment.

Now, we have more spy pics of what appears to be a Lamborghini Jota Superleggera prototype doing some additional testing. The Murcielago replacement is still heavily camouflaged but this time we can spot the adjustable air intakes on each side of the engine bay - a feature too of the current Murcielago.

From what we've learned before, the Jota will have both a lower ride height and weigh less than its predecessor thanks to its aluminum space-frame and carbon fiber body.

Under that rear bonnet will be a direct-injection V12 producing around 700 hp powering a Haldex all-wheel drive system. Look to the Estoque and Reventon for design clues.

Yes a very good name choice for a supercar. http://translation.babylon.com/spanish/to-english/jota/ Jota: (Mexico) effeminate, overly feminine (especially about a man) Why don't car manufacturers run their proposed car model names through google and and all the translators they can find? It can't be that hard.

Something tells me this car wasn't designed with Mexico in mind. Who gives a rat's a@@, this car is still gonna be badass.

yeah, effeminate ?Kepex?. Try explaining that to someone driving this car, and see who?s the fool (no mean to insult). But come on, ?hey dude, your 700hp V12 lamborghini is effeminate, TAKE THAT, no go cry in it! ?

 Aesthetics Aesthetics
its most porobably the spanish dance rather than effeminate which would be cool but i still think the name is wrong if anyone has been following lamborghini's history..the jota name were used only on hard core race ready lamborghini' such as the miura jota and diablo jota. the race murcielago is the r-gt, thy should have called it murcielago jota instead....audi should know better

lambo's are named after famous fighting bulls...so it doesn't matter what the word means.

I thought previous Jota's were hardcore derivatives of existing models. Well the Miura and Diablo anyway. Kind of like the LP999-99XX name is used now. I doubt this will end up being called Jota when it finally breaks cover. I think the use of the name Jota has been a media/public christening, not an official one.

Why you care what the Mexican translation is. If it was a more commonly Spanish word may b,, but just Mexico. Who cares.
