400lbs heavier and 110-160 more hp? I think that's a fair trade off. But is Lotus going to reintroduce a new super light weight? I'm imagining a 1600lb super seven reincarnation with ~180hp *crosses fingers*

ok i get that lotus's new business plan, however i think they should haveleft the elise in the price and market sector it was, light fast and hardcore.....and the styling for all the new lotus's reminds me of something......... oh yeah the honda osm witha bigger grille

damn if i was lotus boss i woul dbuild and elise that is under 700kgs and not over 1000, there is not challange in increasing horspower but all the challenge in reducing weight which is the hallmark of a bran dlike lotus

everyones bitching about extra weight coming into these cars. i dont know exact figures on how much more but to have a 2015 model weigh just under 1100kg is insanely good! imagine what the next closest car, sports or otherwise weighs? its not as simple as it use to be where it was; body, engine, wheels etc. now youve gotta consider major emissions equipment, multiple airbags, more electronics the list goes on. into perspective, my old 86 aw11 toyota mr2 with no ac, no power steering, no power windows weighed ~1050kg that they managed to get 20+ plus years of developments, more power, more confort etc etc for justunder 50kg is god-damn-amazing! get over it!

we can still all enjoy the current S2 Elise and Exige. 2015 is a bit far from now. by that time, i hope Lotus can retain the light weight the brand and CC had been so proud of.

Why these Lotus concepts all came with the name start with the letter "E"? I'm confused!

Being a car fan I'm just curios about the origins and the stories behind those Es. But what really confuse me is to tell apart from these Lotus models, which are alike in appearances and names.

Lotus is gone bezirk. In most desirable way though. Congratualtions, nice again!

Really like this new Lotus philosophy but i think the Elise fans will not accept such a radical design and concept changes

Imo, if this new Elise concept's badge's replaced with a Honda badge, I will thought of it as the new S2000!
