the limit is about 225 KW ...at least that's what the DS3 WRC and Fiesta RS WRC produce...amazing ...all from a 1.6T

Why the hell is their WRC car based on a 'countryman' and not the regular Mini? Looks ridiculous and will likely get thumped.

Absolutely, especially since Ford and Citro?n are moving down (from Focus to Fiesta, and from C4 to DS3).

@cale24 because Marketing says they need more free advertising of the new Countryman, so Countryman WRC it shall be. Doesn't everyone love the overstyling on this car? it looks so fierce and looks like it is going to eat up some Mitsu or Subee. (questionable)

I think the reason to base it on the Countryman is a "no-brainer". Its 4wd!!! lol
