Two prototypes - one with a spoiler and one without - could the spoiler clad variant be a Superleggera?

Two Lamborghini Jota prototypes were spotted near the Nürburgring circuit. One with a rear spoiler and one without.

The one with the spoiler is likely the Superleggera variant as the moniker was spotted by our spy photographers on some of the car's equipment.

Although this is test week at Nürburgring, these two Lambo prototypes are already being loaded on trucks and sent home to Italy. Maybe there's more work to be done before the Jota replaces the Murcielago. But we've already seen shots of both hot-weather and winter testing of Jota, so perhaps its introduction will be sooner than it appears.

From what we know, the Jota will stand a little lower than the Murcielago and weight less too given its make-up of an aluminum space frame and carbon fiber body components.

Powering the Jota will be a direct-injection V12 of around 700 horsepower hooked up to a Haldex all-wheel drive system. Design cues will be borrowed from the Estoque and Reventon.

[UPDATE] A third prototype was spotted on the Nürburgring later the same day with a Gallardo chase vehicle. 12 photos added to article.

Tomorrow is the big day... I hope one of the US Lambo dealers will be brave enough to leaks some pics or at least info about the 2 new models ! Although, I'm quite sure it's Murci replacement and Estoque production version.

Meh, first proper ugly Lamborghini in my opinion, really, what were they thinking? Yes, it's a prototype but still, it's ugly, although it might get prettier in the future with proper paintjob etc.

I think WCF is wrong. It's either retracable spoiler or just 2 spoiler versions to choose from, just like on the Murcielago SV.

I can only see one car. It´s always the same registration and the tapes are exactly the same, same yellow spots shining through. I believe it´s just a retractable spoiler.

I believed the so-called Jota Superleggera is the future high-end version... the SuperVeloce (SV). I will reserved my comments until this car is (or may be) unveiled at Paris.

Lamborghini said that its V12 would die with its last glorious Murcielago, the LP570-4 SV. This Jota will replace the larger lambo, but i think emissions levels will dictate a cleaner burning but hardly smaller V10, as used by the R8 V10.

It looks like it was design in 1989, and it looks like a big boat. Of course it will be fast, but will it be a drivers car? Again, I can't afford one, and Ive only seen like one Diablo and one Murcielago in my life.

Both cars are due for replacement about now. I think the pictures we are seeing with the teasers are a mix of both cars or just the gallardo replacement since its only got ten air vents

nope, there is too much carbon fibre for being a gallardo replacement. It's the new Murcielago.

You can see that they are working on a model with retractable spoiler. This is not the Superleggera.

How do they know it's a Superleggera model??? Because it has a rear spoiler!! Ridiculous. Lamborghini engineers probably tested various aerodynamic solutions and journalist suddenly creates the story. If it is a Murcielago replacement, as usual lightweight version will be released after couple of years of production. Hope Lamborghini won't call it after Gallardo and stick to SV name.

The latest teaser image from lambo had a red steering wheel, and a triangle in the window. Thia one has the triangle in the window, could it be this one.
