2011 Dodge Charger Pursuit car leaks from Police Fleet Expo [video]

The mean law enforcement machine

Thanks to one attendee of the Police Fleet Expo, we can bring you the first video of the 2011 Dodge Charger Police Pursuit Vehicle (PPV).

Available for order in September, the Charger PPV features a massive grille, Challenger-inspired taillights, and sculpted doors.

To ensure the car is ready for law enforcement duty, it has been equipped with a heavy duty suspension, high performance brakes, and two-mode Electronic Stability Control. Other changes include a column-mounted shifter, a Police Interface Module, and red/white LED interior lighting (which doesn't affect night-vision equipment).

Under the hood, engine options include a 3.6-liter Pentastar V6 and a 5.7-liter HEMI V8. Dodge hasn't released performance information, but the V6 will likely produce 290 hp (216 kW / 294 PS) while the V8 will churn out at least 360 hp (268 kW / 365 PS).

Nice front end but that tail end seems too small.

If this is what the new 2011 (civilian) Charger'e tail look like, it's a shame. Beautiful face, excellent body, with a great personality is what make the Charger good, but the rear end... I'll have to see it in person. I hope it's like the Challenger (design wise). For me the Challenger look ugly in photo, but once I was physically looking at the car, I like it.
