Mansory, known for their head-turning body styling designs, has released its latest tuning programme for the Maserati GranTurismo and GranTurismo S.  The GranTurismo marks the Bavarian tuner's first foray with the Maserati brand.

Modifications in bodywork include a redesigned front bumper fascia with lower lip spoiler, radiator grille surround trim, hood with front air scoop, side skirts, trunk lid spoiler, rear bumper apron inlay for integrated exhaust pipes, and a rear diffuser. As seen in the photos, all body pieces are made in visible carbon fiber manufactured by Mansory using autoclave prepreg processing.

Mansory also added progressive sport springs which lower the vehicle by approximately 30mm.  Mansory is offering forged wheels exclusively for Maserati GranTurismo models only.  Mansory is the first manufacturer to do this.  Upon request, Mansory can paint the wheels in the color of the vehicle with black accents (as seen in the photos).  Tires sizes are 255/30 R 20 front and 305/30 R 21 rear.

The Maserati GranTurismo and GranTurismo S also gain a little more power under the hood via an optimised ECU, high-flow air filter and sports exhaust system. Power output is increased by 30 PS (22 kW / 29.5 bhp) giving the GranTurismo 435 PS (320 kW / 429 bhp) and the 470 PS (345 kW / 464 bhp).  Torque is also increased by approximately 40 Nm (30 lb-ft) compared to the series models (GT: 460 Nm at 4750 / GTS: 490 Nm at 4750).

The interior also receives the Mansory touch with their own brand of upholstery. Chequered stitching, aluminium pedals and new ergonomically designed sporty steering wheel are the visual highlights.

To be fair to Mansory, their build quality is second to none (especially as Mansory is an ex-Brabus engineer), and the cars are mostly (if not all) built to order. So I applaud Mansory for taking massive amounts of money off people who clearly have no taste. Also, Mansory is an Iranian Brit, so that's cool too :)

The front bumper looks like it crashed into a flipped over Jag XKR. The back looks rather unchanged aside from the carbon fiber and exhaust pipes. Just shows how good looking the GT is that even Mansory can't make it look that ugly. The original is still miles better though.

How does Mansory stay in business? Seriously, even when they produce a good looking one, which is rare, ho many people are really buying that?
