That looks quite like an Astra. But it isn't the same underpinning, is it? I thought all non-US Chevys were designed in Korea...?

This is the same as the holden cruze. My uncle works for chevy and he already has orders for the sedan. I was going to look a it but i think i can wait for this.

Launching mid 2011 ??? ... the Holden plant is currently tooling up to produce the Cruze hatchback and will be in production in Adelaide before the end of 2010.

This...doesn't look half bad. Why weren't GM building cars like this before the crisis. I think the GM subs would fare better if they were independent companies.

Sorry Ian but Holden is a subsidiary of the U.S. based General Motors. Define Subsidiary: A subsidiary, in business matters, is an entity that is controlled by a separate higher entity. If it is controlled by a U.S. based company then Americans had a huge part in it's development. Maybe an Aussie engineer did alot of the work but how many car designers that create cars right here in the U.S. are 100% born and raised in the states.
